Our Story

Originally a subsidiary of a US company, OLYMPIA TOOLS UK was established in 1994 and now operates as an independent company, as part of the Dormole Group. We offer a range of high quality, innovative hand and power tools designed to help the user work smarter, faster and safer. Our core competencies include: striking and demolition tools, landscaping tools and builder's tools. We are proud to be the UK brand leader in wrecking and demolition bars, including our world famous 'Gorilla Bars', the best known and best quality bars on the market. One of our core principles is continual improvement, from the design and quality of our products and packaging, through to customer support and service levels.

We operate from our head office and showroom in Reading, with our marketing team based in the North West, plus a 184,000ft² (17,094m²) state-of-the-art distribution centre based in Wednesbury, West Midlands, equal to the length of 2 football pitches, with 30,000 pallet locations and 10 dock levels. The latest inventory management systems ensure picking accuracy, minimum order fulfilment times and unrivalled levels of stock availability. Whatever your needs, we can respond quickly and efficiently, even during times of peak or unexpectedly high demand.

OLYMPIA TOOLS UK are active members of Sedex and have robust mechanisms to ensure all manufacturing partners and factories abide by the ETI base code. All factories are audited and work on a continual improvement basis to ensure all ethical, environmental and legal standards are met. We have a dedicated team ensuring factories are compliant, product specification and Quality Assurance processes are maintained and continuity of supply is ensured. This allows effective consolidation and management of our supply chain and complete control over sourcing requirements.

We care about the environment and are committed to removing all single-use plastic packaging e.g. blister packs, clam packs, plastic euro-hangers, etc. and replacing with eco-friendly alternatives. This includes reducing our use of plastic bags, removing them altogether wherever possible. Our aim is to lead the industry in adopting green packaging solutions that reduce their environmental impact. This is the first step of many on our sustainability journey, we aim to continually innovate, providing the best products and solutions for our customers, while minimising the impact we have on our planet.
